For the analysis, we used quality tools such as the Ishikawa diagram and the 5W2H method.
The aim of this research is to analyze a third-sector organization and assess how the mentioned tools and instruments are applied within it.
The methodology is descriptive, based on documents provided by the organizations platform and a checklist used on-site for data collection.
We found that the application of these management methods is highly beneficial for simplifying the activities carried out within these social organizations.
Susana Fonseca, Ana Guia, Carlos Alberto Lopes, Inês Rebelo, Lucinda Gouveia, Sofia Cardoso, Ana Branca Carvalho Copyright (c) 2025 e3 — Revista de Economia, Empresas e Empreendedores na CPLP https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://revistas.ponteditora.org/index.php/e3/article/view/992 Tue, 30 Dec 2025 00:00:00 -0600 SPACE, MEMORY AND TECHNOLOGY: THE VIRTUAL REPRESENTATION OF THE SÃO FRANCISCO CULTURAL CENTER https://revistas.ponteditora.org/index.php/e3/article/view/1003
The digital representation of historic centers on the web does not follow a fixed or standardized model, especially within the field of Information Science, where the absence of rigid frameworks allows for a more exploratory and innovative approach. This flexibility is stimulating and reveals deep connections with a recurring human desire: to transcend the physical body, control sensory experiences, and feel present at a distance — a phenomenon amplified by emerging digital technologies. The development of virtual tours based on 360° imagery represents a new frontier for educational practices and immersive experiences, with direct applications in the training of managers, the preservation of memory, and the valorization of cultural heritage. This doctoral research proposal is guided by the construction of a digital-sensory experience accessible via the internet, using 3D modeling of the Historic Center of João Pessoa. The study seeks to understand the informational process (product × interactivity × user) involved in the virtualization of heritage environments, positioning itself as an innovative strategy in the field of digital education. It also presents potential applications for business schools and institutions engaged with memory, culture, and digital transformation.
Pablo Matias Bandeira, Francisco Carlos Paletta Copyright (c) 2025 e3 — Revista de Economia, Empresas e Empreendedores na CPLP https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://revistas.ponteditora.org/index.php/e3/article/view/1003 Tue, 30 Dec 2025 00:00:00 -0600 PROJECT PRIORITIZATION MATRIX: A BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE AND MULTICRITERIA EVALUATION APPROACH AT SEBRAE/RN https://revistas.ponteditora.org/index.php/e3/article/view/1033
In a data-driven decision-making context, organizations that manage project portfolios face the challenge of prioritizing initiatives in a transparent, objective, and reproducible manner. This article presents the design, implementation, and evaluation of a project prioritization matrix supported by Business Intelligence (BI) and multicriteria assessment, applied to SEBRAE/RN. A Design Science Research approach is adopted, using a mixed-methods strategy that combines analysis of historical data from 15 sectoral projects (2022–2024) with qualitative insights from 52 managers, obtained through interviews, workshops, and document analysis. Based on seven key performance indicators, a weighted matrix is constructed in which revenue growth and strategic alignment receive the highest weights, complemented by metrics of outreach, efficiency, and sustainability. The entire assessment process is automated in an interactive BI dashboard, enabling near real-time, standardized analysis aligned with institutional guidelines. The results indicate gains in operational efficiency, increased analytical maturity in portfolio management, and a stronger alignment between the project portfolio and the organization’s strategic priorities. The study delivers a replicable artifact that integrates MCDA and BI in an organizational context and provides guidelines for adapting the framework in other development and funding institutions.
José Alfredo Ferreira Costa, Alinne Priscilla Dantas da Silva, Ana Maria Fonseca Ubarana, Maiza Pinheiro Dantas, David Xavier de Souza Góis Copyright (c) 2025 e3 — Revista de Economia, Empresas e Empreendedores na CPLP https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://revistas.ponteditora.org/index.php/e3/article/view/1033 Tue, 30 Dec 2025 00:00:00 -0600 GLOBALIZATION IN THE DIGITAL AGE https://revistas.ponteditora.org/index.php/e3/article/view/1040
Globalization represents a core element in the evolution of international relations, as well as in the reconfiguration of economic, social, and cultural ties. We live in an era characterized by the global circulation of multiple factors, many of which are irregular, unpredictable, diverse, and adverse in nature. Faced with this reality, the need to re-establish common norms of governance is imperative. This is a process that raises reflections and concerns, demanding rapid responses adapted to different scales – local and global. This study, based on a literature review, aims to outline a narrative about the current and potential impacts of globalization, considering both positive and negative aspects. It is hoped that this essay can contribute positively and constructively to a critical and multidisciplinary understanding of the phenomenon.
Jorge Ferreira Copyright (c) 2025 e3 — Revista de Economia, Empresas e Empreendedores na CPLP https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://revistas.ponteditora.org/index.php/e3/article/view/1040 Tue, 30 Dec 2025 00:00:00 -0600 ACADEMIC INTELLIGENCE: DATA, TECHNOLOGY, AND EDUCATIONAL TOURISM IN SYNERGY https://revistas.ponteditora.org/index.php/e3/article/view/1045
The digital transformation of higher education institutions requires intelligent tools that support data-driven academic decision-making. The ADAPTE project applies statistical modelling and interactive dashboards to enhance institutional planning and promote academic success. Developed using anonymised data from a public higher education institution in the field of Tourism, the system provides accessible analytical resources for faculty members and management bodies. By identifying risk patterns associated with dropout and academic performance, ADAPTE enables more efficient management of study programmes, human resources, and strategic planning processes. Although implemented within a hospitality and tourism education context, the project demonstrates broader potential within the domain of educational tourism, by fostering stronger alignment between learning experiences and data related to students’ academic pathways. This contribution presents the current stage of ADAPTE’s implementation and illustrates how applied information technologies can support the development of a data-oriented educational culture, where academic trajectories meet intelligent analytical and predictive systems.
José Coelho, Diogo Lima Copyright (c) 2025 e3 — Revista de Economia, Empresas e Empreendedores na CPLP https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://revistas.ponteditora.org/index.php/e3/article/view/1045 Tue, 30 Dec 2025 00:00:00 -0600 SCIENTIFIC REPRODUCIBILITY IN THE AGE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE: LEGAL CHALLENGES AND INNOVATION IN INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY https://revistas.ponteditora.org/index.php/e3/article/view/1046
Scientific reproducibility has become a central theme amidst the crisis affecting various fields of knowledge, especially in the era of artificial intelligence (AI). This paper analyzes the technical, legal, and ethical challenges related to reproducibility, focusing on the interaction between AI, intellectual property, copyrights, patents, and the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD). The impact of AI on study replication, legal barriers to data sharing, and strategies to reconcile scientific transparency with privacy protection are addressed. The analysis highlights the need for integrated public policies, adequate technological infrastructure, and a scientific culture that values reproducibility as a fundamental ethical principle for responsible innovation. It concludes that the advancement of reproducible science depends on multidisciplinary cooperation, balancing legal protection with open access, and ethical use of new technologies.

Giovanna Sampaio, João Santos, Bruno Assis Copyright (c) 2025 e3 — Revista de Economia, Empresas e Empreendedores na CPLP https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://revistas.ponteditora.org/index.php/e3/article/view/1046 Tue, 30 Dec 2025 00:00:00 -0600
