REM accepts applications for the edition of Special Issues (NE). 

  

THE PROCESS 

  

The process of creating a Special Number (NE) begins with the application. 

The NE submission is made by the Scientific Coordinator of the Event (CCE) or equivalent. 

The Editor-in-Chief, the Deputy Editors and/or the Scientific Council (CC), evaluate the applications received based on the following selection criteria: 

• Relevance of the topic; 
• Scientific quality of each proposed article; 
• Coherence of the set of article proposals and the theme's contribution to the advancement of science; 

• Research of authors in the thematic area of ​​the issue (academic degree and affiliation); 
• In order to ensure that the EN are sufficiently comprehensive for the participation of specialists from different areas and/or origins, it is recommended that participating authors with the same affiliation do not exceed 1/3 of the total number of authors of the HUH; non-compliance with this condition is a possible exclusion factor from the application. 

The decision to accept the NE is up to the Editor-in-Chief, the Deputy Editors and/or the CC of Revista REM. 

The Scientific Coordinator of the Event (CCE) or equivalent is responsible for the scientific quality and guarantee of manuscript review by the Scientific Council of the Event or equivalent, before submission to the REM Journal. The CCE or approved NE equivalent signs the Special Number Identification Form (FNE). 

 

NE SUBMISSION CONDITIONS 

Necessary elements for submission: 

• Title of the NE Event/Topic; 
• Full name, affiliation, biographical summary and ORCID of the CCE or equivalent; 
• Type of event that gave rise to the NE's candidacy (workshop, research project, conference, etc.); 
• Organizational structure of the event; 

• Introductory text (about 1500 words), to be published in the NE, highlighting its relevance and relevance, emphasizing its innovative nature in relation to the works already published; 
• Titles of articles and respective authors and affiliations; 
• Abstract of each manuscript (500 words); 
• Program with the timetable for the preparation of the NE containing: 

• Deadline for the submission of articles; 

• Expected publication date. 

  

CONCLUSION OF THE PROCESS 

Once the application has been approved, the final date for submission of all manuscripts compiled in the NE is fixed (this deadline should not exceed 3 months); 

A date for the publication of the NE will also be defined; 

The complete NE will be subject to a final evaluation by the Editor-in-Chief and the Deputy Editor of REM who may request changes before the final publication of the NE; 

The DOI Crossref identification is made only to the NE. Other unforeseen situations, such as the assignment of DOI to manuscripts, will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis, upon request from the CCE.
