Impact of artificial intelligence on the world of work – legal responsibility in the replacement of jobs by AI: Proposals for the future

Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been integrated across various spheres of social life, and the world of work is no exception. While it provides significant benefits in terms of efficiency, productivity, and innovation, its adoption also raises relevant challenges. This dissertation aims to analyze, in depth, the impact of AI on Labor Law, with a special focus on the consequences for workers. Initially, the goal is to clarify the concept of AI and provide a legal framework for this emerging reality. Subsequently, the legal implications arising from its use are analyzed, highlighting the need to ensure an appropriate balance between the incorporation of new technologies and the protection of workers' well-being and rights. The study also addresses the potential repercussions of automation on increased unemployment and the resulting perception of job insecurity. Finally, the distribution of responsibilities between companies, workers, institutions, and the State in the AI ​​adoption process is examined, seeking to identify regulatory pathways that promote a fair and sustainable technological transition.
