Benefits of physical exercise and nutrition in immunity Possible strategies for COVID-19 prevention

Abstract
The moment experienced by society in the face of the pandemic caused by the new coronavirus has been a massive target of studies, mainly concerning forms of prevention, vaccines, medications, and patient care with COVID-19. Thus, the present narrative review aimed to evaluate articles that addressing the impact of physical exercise and nutrition on the immune system and the possible association of these behaviors with the prevention of COVID-19. The information collected in this study is the result of bibliographical research on the latest publications in the international literature involving the themes of physical exercise, nutrition, the immune system, and their relationship with COVID-19. Thus, it could be seen that encouraging the alliance between regular practice of moderate-intensity physical exercise, and a healthy and nutrientes-rich diet, such as vitamins A, C, D, E, and the mineral zinc, are strategies that could be adopted to help reduce the need for hospitalization and complications associated with COVID-19.
