Abstract

Introduction: Primary Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) is the most effective form of treatment for reducing mortality and complications (Soleimani et al., 2020). Objective: to characterize the AMR population undergoing PCI under activation of the Coronary Greenway (CVS) by a nurse from the pre-hospital to the hemodynamic service.

Methodology: Exploratory retrospective analytical cohort study, with the following inclusion criteria: adults undergoing PCI with CVS activation from January 2020 to December 2022. Results/discussion: The inflow to the ER in the last three years increased gradually, 81,168 entries in 2020, 100,636 in 2021 and 121576 in 2022, being proportional to the activation of CVS. This is activated, on average, 1.59% of the total number of patients; however, it does not translate into an increase in the number of patients undergoing PCI. We identified the morning shifts as being those with the highest number of activations, with chest pain as the main symptom. From the total, 73% were men who were younger than the average age of women by 7.5 years in.
