Abstract

An effective Asset Management system is crucial to maximizing the value of the organization's resources, ensuring regulatory compliance, reducing operational costs and improving the company's operational efficiency. Systems integration plays a fundamental role in creating an efficient Asset Management system, allowing different tools and platforms to communicate and share information transparently, creating a single asset base inside the company.

By integrating systems, it is possible to unify data from different areas related to Asset Management, such as registration of assets in the patrimonial area, cost of acquisition and replacement of assets in the accounting area, maintenance records and information about the operation of assets, this allows a comprehensive and up-to-date view of the organization's asset landscape, providing a solid basis for decision-making.

The Embasa – Empresa Baiana de Águas e Saneamento, implemented an Asset Management methodology, where it was necessary to define the company's needs in relation to Asset Management and map all the company's systems that had a connection with the topic. Furthermore, understand the functionality and data that each system generates. This is crucial to determine how information systems could be integrated efficiently, ensuring the integrity and uniqueness of information and allowing the implementation of an Asset Management System.

This work aims to show how the entire process of software mapping and identification of gaps that prevented the integration of systems with asset information at Embasa went, in addition to the process of acquiring and/or developing software that integrated with the currently existing ones, allowing the creation of a complete Asset Management System in the company.
