Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The manuscript is an original work and does not duplicate any previously published content, including work by the authors themselves.
  • Submission files are provided in Microsoft Word format.
  • All authors are correctly identified in the submission system.
  • The manuscript has been submitted exclusively to e3 and is not under consideration elsewhere.
  • The manuscript follows the journal’s formatting and referencing standards (APA 7th edition).
  • The manuscript does not contain defamatory, fraudulent, illegal or unethical content.
  • Any use of generative artificial intelligence tools in the preparation of the manuscript has been disclosed.
  • ATTENTION: Failure to follow these instructions may be a reason for rejection of the manuscript

Author Guidelines

If your manuscript includes identifiable data or images, please submit the Consent for Publication Form.

Preprint Policy

e3 accepts submissions of manuscripts previously deposited in recognized preprint servers.
Posting a manuscript as a preprint is not considered prior publication.
Authors should inform the journal during submission and update the preprint record with the final published version once available.

 

Author Guidelines

For detailed information regarding manuscript types, formatting rules, figures, tables and reference style, authors should consult the Guidelines for Authors page.

During submission authors may indicate their preferred peer review model:

  • single-blind peer review
  • double-blind peer review
  • open peer review

If no preference is indicated, the default review model is double-blind.
