GLOBALIZATION IN THE DIGITAL AGE

Abstract
Globalization represents a core element in the evolution of international relations, as well as in the reconfiguration of economic, social, and cultural ties. We live in an era characterized by the global circulation of multiple factors, many of which are irregular, unpredictable, diverse, and adverse in nature. Faced with this reality, the need to re-establish common norms of governance is imperative. This is a process that raises reflections and concerns, demanding rapid responses adapted to different scales – local and global. This study, based on a literature review, aims to outline a narrative about the current and potential impacts of globalization, considering both positive and negative aspects. It is hoped that this essay can contribute positively and constructively to a critical and multidisciplinary understanding of the phenomenon.
