INVESTIGATION ON HEART RATE VARIABILITY INDICES AND MENTAL STRESS IN PERFORMANCE WITH FRACTIONS: A STUDY IN THE FINAL YEARS OF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN FLORIANÓPOLIS-SC

Resumen

La ansiedad y el estrés, aunque distintos, están interconectados y se influyen mutuamente. La ansiedad matemática, común en el entorno educativo, trae malestar y preocupación al abordar conceptos o tareas matemáticas. En este estudio de carácter aplicado, modalidad tecnológica y enfoque mixto, se realizó una investigación de campo en escuelas municipales con estudiantes de los últimos años de la educación básica y los instrumentos fueron entrevistas semiestructuradas y recolección de variables de Variabilidad de la Frecuencia Cardíaca (VFC), con el objetivo de El objetivo es analizar los niveles de estrés mental de los estudiantes al realizar ejercicios con fracciones, y su posible relación con la ansiedad matemática. Los resultados indicaron que el 49% de los estudiantes, la mayoría, experimentaron los niveles más altos de estrés mientras realizaban ejercicios. Considerando la relevancia de los hallazgos, se recomienda realizar nuevas investigaciones con el objetivo de mejorar el uso del análisis HRV para ayudar en el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje de las matemáticas.

She holds a degree in Mathematics, with a master's and doctorate in Production Engineering from UFSC. She was a visiting professor at the Federal University of Paraná in the Graduate Program in Design (2012 - 2014). She was a researcher at the Université Paris 1 (Panthéon-Sorbonne). She provides voluntary service in the PPEGC at UFSC. She was a Productivity and Technological Development and Innovative Extension scholarship holder from 2009 to 2013, DT/CNPq. Coordinator of the project: Media, Technologies, and Language Resources for a Learning Environment Accessible to the Deaf, approved by CNPq through CALL N 84/2013 MCTI-SECIS/CNPq - ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY / B - Emerging Centers. She was a CNPq scholarship holder in the DTI-A modality. She has experience in the field of Education, with an emphasis on Educational Technology, mainly working on the following topics: accessibility, teaching-learning, hypermedia, hypermedia design, geometry, and descriptive geometry. Since 1981, she has coordinated various national and international events, including the National Congress of Design, Gráphicas, Conahpas, and Cinahpas. She is a volunteer full professor and a permanent professor in the Graduate Program in Engineering and Knowledge Management at UFSC. She has been the leader since 2014 of the Digital Accessibility and Assistive Technologies Center registered at CNPq. Márcio Vieira de Souza, Federal University of Santa Catarina

Possui graduação em Comunicação Social (Habilitação- Jornalismo) pela Universidade do Vale do Rio dos Sinos (1985), especialização em Educação (duas) (UFSC,UNISINOS). Mestrado em Sociologia Política pela Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (1995) e Doutorado em Engenharia de Produção pela Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (2002). Tem experiência na área de mídia e conhecimento, comunicação, sociologia política, Educação a Distância, mídias digitais, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: comunicação e educação, mídia e conhecimento, inovação na educação, educação em rede, sociologia e tecnologia, redes e mídias sociais , Análise de redes sociais (ARS), vídeo e democracia, desenvolvimento sustentável e tecnologias da informação e da comunicação (TIC), metodologia de pesquisa e metodologias ativas na educação. Foi chefe de departamento do curso de jornalismo da UNIVALI-SC, foi professor no Mestrado do Programa de Pós-graduação em Gestão em Políticas Públicas da UNIVALI-SC. Foi professor permanente do PPGTIC-UFSC. É professor Associado da Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC) onde é um dos lideres do Grupo de Pesquisa de Mídia e Conhecimento da UFSC (CNPq) e atua no Departamento de Engenharia e Gestão do Conhecimento (DEGC-UFSC). É professor permanente no Programa de Pós-graduação em Engenharia e Gestão do Conhecimento. É Coordenador do LabMídia (laboratório de Mídia e conhecimento) da UFSC.
